A favourite more recent addition to the Cheswick village food scene, offering a much needed alternative to Boston Tea Party (not that I don’t love BTP, but variety is the spice of life). Since our last visit, though, they’ve redecorated. The new look feels much closer to a restaurant style than the deli vibes it was giving off before, now with booths and a full menu (yes, those are the two distinguishing factor, it turns out). But the meal deal remains, and so does my insatiable need for tradition and familiarity. The deal? 12 inch pizza, two toppings, and a soft drink. My two toppings of choice? Scamorza and Italian sausage. My verdict? Delicious as ever. It’s really good pizza! If it weren’t up in Cheswick, I’d be telling everyone I know to go. But I’m not forcing them onto the 70 or 74 bus for that. The elderflower cordial, often (correctly) served ever so slightly too strong, is perfect. It’s a friendly place, who knows that we all come over from work much too often, don’t mind when we take up multiple tables at once, and have internalised our regular orders. What more could you ask for of a place walking distance from the office?
